100 Things Continued…

You know how it goes. I can’t believe it’s taking me so long to finish this thing. You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to come up with these bad boys… So to mix it up, here is the Pop Culture installment of my 100 Things:
81. I am embarrassingly enthralled by the TWILIGHT series. So much so that I know that right at this second there are 12 days, 22 hours, 10 minutes, and 35, 34, 33 seconds till the movie premieres. I’m on book 3 right now and about 100 pages from the end. I daydream about Edward and sometimes pretend that I’m Bella. Yup, and I’m almost 24. Maybe I’ll start a group for women over the age of 21 that have crushes on fictional Twilight characters. Anyone wanna join my club?
82. My personal style is, well, I don’t know what it is. But I do know that it is not Anthropologie-esque and that makes me sad because I was browsing the dresses on their website yesterday and was constantly falling in love. I’m not sure I’m waif-y enough to pull the look off but I’d sure as hell love to try.
83. I am head over heels in love with Paramore’s new song “Decode” on the just-released Twilight soundtrack. Holy hell it’s amazing. Her voice, the ominous minor chords, the lyrics…swoon. (I’m listening now and getting goosebumps.) I would cut off my left arm to be able to sing like Hayley. Or at least to be able to rock orange hair like her. I feel like she’d look great in Anthropologie dresses.
84. I happily voted HELL NO on Amendment 2. I’m straight. I’m (mostly) white. I’m under the age of 65. I already have health care that I like. Now everyone can stop sending me nasty “you have no moral fiber” emails. My vote had nothing to do with the definition of marriage and neither did the actual amendment if you read it carefully. Oh yeah, I also voted for Obama and Jesus still loves me. I know I’m blowing your mind right now. Just take a deep breath…ok good now exhale…you’ll make it through this.
85. I decided this week after reading Dooce’s monthly letter to her daughter that I want to be a mom like her. I think she’s fabulously real. Her daughter is going to have an AMAZING sense of humor (and a terrified fiance).
86. I’m slightly jealous that the Obama girls are getting a puppy and I’m not. Like it’s hard or something to be spattered across the tabloids for a year while your daddy campaigns for President. Come on girls, the celebrities do it and look how well-adjusted they turn out! At least Obama handled it well. I couldn’t believe how wadded up everyone’s panties got over this whole “will he get a pure-bred or a shelter puppy?”
87. I was emotionally attached to this last season’s cast of So You Think You Can Dance. I literally cried when Kherington and Twitch did that Viennese Waltz. Or what about Chelsea and Mark’s Bleeding Love performance? AMAZING. Birthday Fairy, (aka Mr. Beagle) if you’d like to give me an early gift you could get us tickets to the SYTYCD tour in Tampa on November 17th (that would be a Monday night).
88. 5 Places I would pick up and move to in less than 24 hours (in no particular order):
- Salerno, Italy
- New York City, New York
- San Francisco, California
- Paris, France
- the little house in Thornton Park that I love (thanks Craigslist!)
88. Vegan Yum Yum is by far my favorite vegan blog. No, I’ll take that a step farther, it’s my favorite food blog. I’m making THESE for my friend’s birthday party tomorrow. Anyone have some unique filling ideas????
89. I love a good comeback story. Brit Brit looks hot hot! Are you kidding me? I swear if she got those Jennifer Anniston fat melting shots too then I need to find myself a doctor and sign up.
90. I haven’t been able to cross over into the yellow fingernail fad. I’ve been known to rock navy, merlot, and white digits but I’m just not too sure about the bright yellow.
Are we getting closer? I feel like we really connected just now.
xoxo, Miss Marie
